An NFC review stand is a physical display that opens a business’s review page when a customer taps it with a compatible phone. It helps customers find the page; the customer still chooses whether to write and submit a review.
How does an NFC review stand work?
A programmed NFC tag shares a destination link with a compatible phone. Hold the phone near the tag, follow the prompt and open the page. An internet connection is needed. Customers must sign in to a Google account to submit a Google review.
No SmarPlaque app is needed to open the link. NFC availability and the best tap position vary by phone, and some phones require NFC to be enabled.
NFC and QR: two ways to open a link
NFC uses a close-range tap. A printed QR code is scanned with a compatible camera or QR reader. Check the product description for the technologies included in your chosen product. Some cards offer QR printing only in the double-sided option.
A digital redirect can allow either an NFC or QR destination to change without reprinting the physical product. A directly encoded external URL or customer-supplied static code may work differently, so confirm the setup when ordering.
Free lifetime digital link changes
All our products offer free lifetime changes to their digital destination link. Email hi@smarplaque.com with your order number and the new link. This changes the destination your product opens, not the printed design, wording, logo or physical product.
Invite honest feedback
Place the stand where customers can see it and invite them to share their own experience. Give all customers the same opportunity to review, regardless of whether their experience was positive or negative. Do not offer rewards for reviews or ask for a particular star rating.
A stand does not generate reviews automatically or guarantee review numbers, ratings or search rankings. See Google’s guidance on requesting reviews.
Personalisation and optional design preview
Choose the size, finish and personalisation options shown on the product page. Supply your business details, artwork and destination link with your order.
A design proof is not included in the product price. Add the optional Design Preview & Approval Service for £0.90 if you would like to review the layout before printing. It includes an emailed preview and one revision. We normally email the preview within 1–2 business days after receiving your design details. If selected, we wait for your approval before printing.
Production, delivery and ongoing charges
Production normally takes 3–10 business days once your order details are complete and, if you selected the optional preview, your design is approved. UK transit normally takes a further 3–5 business days after dispatch. Time waiting for your details or approval is additional.
UK delivery is £2.95 below £100 and free on orders of £100 or more. The physical product is a one-time purchase with no SmarPlaque monthly subscription or per-tap fee. A third-party destination may have its own charges and account requirements.
